LMRA conducts three joint inspection campaigns in Muharraq, Southern Governorates

Manama, March 1 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority and the Ministry of Interior continue their joint efforts to intensify inspection campaigns against illegal practices in the labor market, in order to maintain a competitive, fair and stable labor market.


The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out three joint inspection campaigns, the first in Muharraq Governorate, in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Police Directorate in the governorate. The other campaigns took place in Muharraq and the southern governorates in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence at the Ministry of Interior.


The campaigns resulted in reports of violations of labor market and residency laws. Cases have been referred for legal action.


The Labor Market Regulatory Authority has renewed its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.bh or by calling the authority’s call center. at 17506055.
