LMRA CEO receives U.S. Chargé d’Affaires

Manama, January 27 (BNA) The CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority Jamal Abdulaziz Al-Alawi received Chargé d’Affairs at the US Embassy, ​​Margaret Nardi.

They discussed the Bahraini-US relations, and the initiatives of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority in the field of developing the work environment and combating human trafficking.

The CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority affirmed the authority’s commitment to developing procedures that preserve the rights of everyone in the labor market.

The Chargé d’Affairs was briefed on the projects of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Human Beings (NCCTIPs) after it was reconstituted for implementation, especially working to strengthen the national system to combat this crime.

The CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority reviewed the authority’s most prominent achievements.

Al-Alawi pointed to areas of cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of training between the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, the United States and relevant international organizations with the aim of raising the level of competencies of national cadres.

He stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to benefit from all the global expertise of international organizations in various sectors of work and the labor market.

Nardi expressed her happiness with the recent projects and achievements that enhance Bahrain’s leading position in this field, and which have developed its main role in exchanging experiences with its counterparts in the region.
