LMRA announces deadline for workers legal status correction


Manama, February 7 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority called on all irregular workers in Bahrain and flexible permit holders to take immediate measures to correct their legal status before March 4.

The authority confirmed that the necessary legal measures will be taken in coordination with the relevant government agencies against all violators of the laws and regulations of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, in addition to intensifying inspection campaigns and deportations in all governorates.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority indicated that workers inside the Kingdom who hold expired, invalid or flexible permits are eligible to register in the labor registration program, with the exception of violators and violators of the conditions stipulated in their current permits.

It required all workers to verify their eligibility for the labor registration program through approved registration centers or by visiting the Labor Market Regulatory Authority’s website at www.lmra.bh and using the “eligibility verification service”, or by sending a text message containing the worker’s personal number to +973. 33150150 or by calling the Labor Market Regulatory Authority call center on +973 17103103.
