Liverpool’s Klopp named LMA, Premier League Manager of the Year

London, May 25 (BNA): Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp has been honored for tilting his side to an unprecedented quadruple this season, as he was named the League Managers’ Association (LMA) and the General Manager of the Premier League.

Liverpool won the League Cup and the FA Cup, and Real Madrid will play in the Champions League final on Saturday, Reuters reports.

They came a short distance in the Premier League title race, finishing one point behind champions Manchester City.

“It’s a huge honor and it’s been a crazy season,” Klopp said. “The last round when only two games were meaningless and in the rest we all played at all. It wasn’t the best result for us, but we’re already done.”

The 54-year-old German won the Premier League award after merging audience votes with those of a panel of experts, while the LMA award was voted on by the full membership of managers across all divisions.

“Obviously a vote by my team-mates is the most important prize you can get,” Klopp added.
