Labour Ministry starts grants fundraising permits for cultural institutions

Manama, September 20 (BNA): The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has started the procedures for issuing fundraising permits for cultural institutions affiliated with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, in accordance with the provisions of the decree-law. 21/2013 regarding the regulation of fundraising for general purposes and Resolution 47/2014 issuing its executive regulations.

In this regard, the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Welfare and Social Rehabilitation Affairs at the Ministry of Labor, and the Director of NGO Support, Najwa Abdullatif Janahi, announced that the Ministry of Labor has granted a permit to the Federation of Theatrical Societies, and work is underway to grant another permit to the Federation of Theatrical Societies. Abdul Rahman Kanoo Cultural Center is part of the Ministry’s efforts to achieve the goals of such organizations that seek to advance culture in the Kingdom.

On the other hand, Janahi confirmed that the Ministry of Labor provides training workshops for cultural institutions affiliated with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, to review the necessary permits to obtain them, whether permits to collect funds, send money abroad or receive funds from abroad, in addition to clarification. Mechanisms for submitting the necessary permit applications.

Janahi asked cultural institutions wishing to attend training workshops or apply for permits to raise funds, to fill out the form on the ministry’s website (www.mlsd.gov.bh) and send it to the e-mail (Ngo.dataentry01@mlsd). .gov. bh), for requests to be processed.
