Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): The Minister of Labor and Chairman of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received here today the Secretary General of the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions. GFBTU) Abdul-Qader Abdul-Karim Al-Shihabi, in the presence of the Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al-Halwaji.
The main initiatives of the Ministry of Labor to enhance production in the private sector were also reviewed, as well as efforts to support the stability and growth of the labor market.
Humaidan affirmed the Ministry of Labor’s keenness to increase coordination meetings between the three production teams.
He also highlighted the Ministry’s initiatives to employ Bahrainis in private companies and institutions and ensure their stability.
The two sides also discussed issues related to improving the productive work environment in private sector establishments, in addition to developing trade union work mechanisms and guaranteeing workers’ rights and developing them professionally in various productive sectors.
