Manama, April 20 (BNA): Labor Minister Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan affirmed the international community’s confidence in the Kingdom’s general policies to support growth in the labor market and attract more job-generating investments in various economic, commercial and industrial fields. sectors.
This came in light of the indicators recently revealed by the International Monetary Fund, according to which the unemployment rate in Bahrain is expected to decrease to 4.4% during the year 2023.
Humaidan indicated that this report was issued by a prestigious independent international body that relies on a scientific approach in analyzing economic data and indicators. Which enhances the Kingdom’s position as an investment destination and a distinguished incubator for business environments, thanks to its advanced legislation and laws, its emerging economic sectors and its promising opportunities in an economic climate that is growing at an accelerated pace.
The minister praised the cooperation between the fund and Bahrain and the periodic meetings held by the fund with the relevant authorities in the economic and labor fields.
He explained that the indicators launched by major international institutions specialized in the field of the labor market are based on the success of government programs in implementing plans to control unemployment rates within their safe limits, while relying on international standards in calculating unemployment rates transparently.
Humaidan stressed that the government will continue its efforts to enhance the business environment and implement many initiatives and programs that will enhance preference and give priority to citizens in the labor market.
He stressed that all concerned authorities are harnessing all their capabilities to continue building on the achievements made in this regard to maintain the growth of employment rates in Bahrain.
