Labor Minister meets Indian Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs

Manama, May 4 (BNA): Labor Minister Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan met with Indian Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliament Shri Muralidharan.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation in the labor sector, and exchanging experiences in manpower training.

The Minister of Labor briefed the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliament on Bahrain’s efforts to harmonize national labor laws with ILO standards.

Humaidan presented Bahrain’s efforts to provide an optimal environment for emerging companies and sectors and create job opportunities, supported by business-friendly laws. He highlighted Bahrain’s labor policies that guarantee a healthy work environment, high productivity and protection of workers’ rights.

The Indian Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliament praised the bilateral relations and the depth of historical relations between the two countries, praising the progress and development witnessed by the labor sector in Bahrain.

He expressed his appreciation for ensuring the well-being of the Indian community in Bahrain, stressing his country’s interest in strengthening cooperation in all sectors, especially in trade and investment.
