Kuwait military receives third batch of Eurofighter Typhoon jets


Kuwait, September 29 (BNA) The Kuwaiti army received two other Eurofighter Typhoon Trench 3 aircraft as part of a third batch aimed at “enhancing the combat readiness” of the Kuwaiti Air Force out of a total of 28 aircraft ordered.

KUNA stated that the aircraft is “a state-of-the-art multi-role fighter characterized by electronic warfare and rapid response capabilities.”

The aircraft received so far have achieved “100 flying hours”.

A ceremony was held on the occasion of the plane’s landing at Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah Air Base, in the presence of the commander of the base, Air Brigadier General Dhafer Al-Ajmi, Italian Ambassador to Kuwait Carlo Balducci, Italian military attache Colonel Salvatore Ferrara, and a number of officials.
