Kusic Bosnian builds rotating house so that his wife has diversified view

Serbak, Bosnia, Oct. 11 (BUS): Seeking to please his wife who wanted a more diverse view of her family’s home, a self-taught Bosnian innovator built a revolving house, allowing her to watch the sunrise in one house. moment and passersby the next.

“I’m tired of her complaints and the frequent renovations of our family home and I said, ‘I’m going to build you a revolving house so you can rotate it as you wish,'” Vugen Kosic, 72, told Reuters as she stood in front of a house. His new home that attracts the attention of visitors.

Located in a fertile plain in northern Bosnia near the town of Serbac, the house rotates around a 7-meter axis designed by Kosice, with a view of cornfields and farmland turning into forests and a river at the desired speed.

“A house can make a full circuit for 24 hours when it’s at its slowest, while at the fastest it can make a full circuit in 22 seconds,” Kusic said.

His wife did not want to comment on the new home.

Kosic said he drew inspiration from Serbian-American inventors Nikola Tesla and Mihajlo Popin, and that being from a poor family without the possibility of a good education forced him to look for ways to make things himself.

“This is not an innovation, it just requires will and knowledge, and I had enough time and knowledge,” he said, adding that he built the entire house himself.

The project took six years to complete, with the exception of leave to stay in hospital due to a heart condition. He said the house is more resistant to earthquake damage than stationary houses.
