KUKKIWON demonstration team performs in Bahrain for Taekwondo and Korean culture enthusiasts

Manama, November 28 (BNA) The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bahrain organized a KUKKIWON demonstration.

The event was part of the celebrations of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Korea.

The event was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Sports Authority and the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and the Korean Ambassador, Hekwan Chung. To Bahrain.

In his opening speech, the ambassador praised the distinguished Korean-Bahraini relations in the sports field.

He provided a background for Korea’s official sport – Taekwondo, which aims not only to develop self-defense, but also promote self-control, fitness and personal balance.

KUKKIWON’s show was appreciated by the audience which also included sports officials, ambassadors and guests.

Sports fans have praised the unique martial arts techniques, such as jumps, jumps and the famous graceful movements.

The event was jointly organized by the Korean Embassy, ​​BOC, GSA, Bahrain Combat Sports Council, and Bahrain Taekwondo Federation.

Korea has been celebrating taekwondo as a national martial arts sport for thousands of years. It has been included as an official sport in the Olympic Games since 2000, and is scheduled to be officially included as part of the Hangzhou Paralympics from 2022.
