Manama, October 6 (BNA) The King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence announced that it will organize a conference to promote peaceful coexistence under the slogan “Ignorance is the Enemy of Peace” under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Khalifa, December 7-8, with the participation of major regional and international higher education institutions.
The Center held its first meeting under the chairmanship of the Board of Trustees, President of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, to discuss the objectives of the conference and the desired outcomes and to identify the most prominent of them. Themes of the event with a review of the quality of local and international participation.
The two-day conference will include 4 main dialogue sessions focusing on: integrating the concepts of coexistence and acceptance of difference and diversity in university curricula, the essential role of enabling educational environments in raising a generation of peace, and the experience of the King Hamad Chair. For courses on Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence at Sapienza University and the development of religious education as a key point for promoting coexistence.
We are pleased to announce the details of our new conference, whose message is based on the content of the Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain set by His Majesty, on the basis of adopting science, knowledge and education as the most powerful weapon in the fight against violence.
