Ottawa, Jan. 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein met today, Friday, with the Governor General of Canada, Marie Simon, at the Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
The meeting reviewed the strategic relations between Jordan and Canada and ways to enhance them in various fields.
The leaders emphasized the importance of opening new horizons for cooperation to face common global challenges, particularly with regard to food security, energy and climate change mitigation.
The meeting also touched on the latest regional and international developments, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, in addition to efforts to find political solutions to crises in the Middle East region.
