Your Highnesses, Excellencies, and Excellencies, I begin my speech today by praying for the souls of the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey to rest in peace, patience for their loved ones, and a speedy recovery for the injured. This disaster created a humanitarian situation to provide assistance to various countries. Bahrain was a pioneer under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, by sending search and rescue teams from the National Guard. The Bahrain Defense Force and the formation of a national committee to support the victims and send shipments of urgent aid. This situation requires us to strengthen our capabilities in the field of civil protection through joint training and exchange of experiences to enhance field coordination in facing crises and reduce their effects and repercussions to help each other achieve the required sustainability.

Your Highnesses, Excellencies, and Excellencies, security operations during the past decade witnessed the seriousness of emerging crimes that affected civil peace and stability and caused new challenges and threats through the emergence of many crimes, on top of which are electronic and digital crimes. They are an economic challenge. Cyberattacks are a threat to national security and online platforms.

They target children and young people. In addition to the emergence of different types of drones to attack vital interests.

I want to point out that dealing with security threats is not limited to combating security efforts and responses, but rather requires proactive measures to confront, prevent or limit these threats by formulating laws to meet challenges and setting strict technical regulations to control the use of electronic devices. In addition to promoting international consensus to maintain the security of societies. In this context, the Ministry of Interior formed the Child Protection Cyberspace Unit to implement the national strategy for cybersecurity related to child protection.

Your Excellencies and Excellencies, I will conclude my speech by stressing that protecting the security and safety of societies is a security, humanitarian and moral duty that requires solidarity and security efforts. I affirm that one of the basic dimensions of protecting security and public order in Arab societies is the preservation of Arab values and traditions that unite us. The strength of society comes from the strength of the family.

In any case, we are open to the world, which respects our adherence to these traditions. I wish our meeting success for the best of our countries and the security of their people, and peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you.
