Paris, February 2 (BNA): Kylian Mbappe has been ruled out for three weeks with a tear in his left thigh and will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League last-16 first leg against Bayern Munich.


Mbappe was injured in the first half of the Paris Saint-Germain match in Montpellier on Wednesday and limped off the field.


Television cameras also showed him rubbing the back of his left thigh as he walked to the dressing room, according to the Associated Press.


Paris Saint-Germain said in a statement Thursday that the tests revealed a tear in his left thigh.


The injury comes at a bad time for PSG as they enter a difficult period this month.


Paris Saint-Germain plays away from home against Marseille in the French Cup and in the League, on both sides of the match against Bayern on February 14. He also plays a league match with fourth-placed Monaco.
