• The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for reviewing 3rd party applications with reference to the operational Metro/LRT/Long Distance Rail project interfaces and future phases.
• Tasks will include review of plans, plans, accounts and specifications.
• The Infrastructure Engineer is required to work effectively with all parties involved, evaluate proposals, make recommendations, and determine the overall response to third party requests.
• Includes working closely with all departments, agencies/authorities, designers, internal and external contractors, coordinating and collaborating with all departments and agencies/country authorities to ensure a comprehensive, decisive and timely response.
• These responsibilities include attending meetings with various stakeholders.
• Provide infrastructure interface and coordination services (assistance and guidance) for Qatar Rail schemes with respect to multiple interfaces with applicants, designers, utility agencies, contractors, stakeholders, etc.
• Review, evaluate, evaluate and respond to third party requests and design, engineering and construction documents including plans and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable requirements, rules, ordinances and standards (NOC, DR, RO, PTW, and others).
• Monitoring and tracking of correspondence (documentation of daily work)
• Support the Director and related departments in reviewing the design, assisting in the approval process and other duties.
• Ensure & verify the completeness of documents and submissions.
• Provide and prepare interface drawings and related documents.
• Act as a liaison between the PMC, D&B contractor and third parties.
• Participation and creation of manuals, procedures and ways of dealing with stakeholders.
• Identify items for improvements and management improvement.
• Attending and recording meetings and acting as a contact person for local authorities.
• As required, inspect sites on a periodic basis to ensure compliance with permits, design specifications and adherence to quality. Submit site inspection reports.
• Resolve issues within authority level and/or address modifications or changes.
• Planning, organizing, following up, controlling and evaluating assigned jobs and activities. Works proactively and responsibly.
• Maintains records and records of work performed. Prepares periodic and special reports as required.
• Maintain accurate reports of ROs, permits (received, received) and other assigned activities.

responsibilities
• Establish a clear line of communication with team members and relevant departments.
• Review and approve NOC, PTW and other requests.
• Establish clear management procedures for all stakeholders.
• Produce Status and Progress Reports.
• External approvals and permits, design review requests and road openings
• Participate in meetings, audits, presentations, workshops and other events.

• Candidates for a degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 4 years of documented experience in the fields of railways, road/utilities design and/or construction. GCC experience is beneficial.
• Experience in metro/rail projects.
• Local Qatar Metro experience and knowledge preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience in the design, construction and management of a large scale infrastructure project.
• Sound knowledge of industry best practices, and local laws and regulations.
• Deep knowledge and experience in the planning, design and construction of metro rail, water, waste water, storm drainage, irrigation, power transmission and distribution, gas, oil, district cooling, steam pipelines, telecommunications, etc.
• Knowledge of standards and construction requirements and an understanding of Qatar’s legal requirements.
• Knowing the Permitting Procedures (NOC)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office package (MS Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Experience with web-based collaboration technologies for project information and operations management software (eg Aconex, QDRS/QPRO2)
• Good experience and skills with AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
• Good technical writing skills (Arabic is useful and English)
