Information Minister opens National Day Festival at Heritage Village

Manama, December 11 (BNA) Within the framework of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebration of its national holidays, commemorating the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Islamic state founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783 AD, and the anniversary of the establishment of the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Majesty the King ascended the throne, Minister of Information Ali bin Muhammad Al-Rumaihi inaugurated today the National Day Festival in the Heritage Village in the Southern Governorate.

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of Ministry of Information officials, guests and dozens of citizens and residents.

The minister and the audience toured the village, which included many events, activities, musical performances by folk bands, and a market that includes many shops and products.

The entertainment programs aimed to provide children with the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the heritage village and its permanent architectural models that reflect the different stages of Bahrain’s history.

Al-Rumaihi extended his sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the Bahraini people on the occasion of the celebration of the glorious national holidays, asking God. May God bless the Kingdom with security, progress and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty the King.

“During the glorious National Day, we renew our loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty King Hamad, and pledge to follow in the footsteps of His Majesty and his directives towards more giving for the sake of the country,” the minister said.

Al-Rumaihi indicated that the Ministry of Information Affairs organizes the festival to highlight the importance of the heritage village, which is a national edifice whose various facilities narrate part of the Kingdom’s history and development path, noting that the village was based on the directives of His Majesty the King.

The Minister extended his thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to organizing the festival, which reflects the celebrations prevailing in the Kingdom’s glorious national holidays, as well as committed public celebrations that indicate continuous recovery.

The minister stressed that the celebration of the Kingdom’s national days is an opportunity to recall the outstanding achievements made by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, and to make Bahrain a model to be followed in various fields, and to enable it to play a leading regional and international role. While adhering to the principles of a well-established national identity.

Al-Rumaihi highly valued the dedicated national efforts made by the Bahrain team, led by His Highness, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, citing the Kingdom’s successes, especially in defeating the emerging Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic, and mitigating its effects on various sectors.

The Minister commended all the warriors against COVID-19, with their sense of patriotism and their dedicated efforts, the Kingdom is on the right track towards recovery.

He said that this embodies an epic success story that was achieved thanks to the wise leadership and visions of His Majesty the King, the support of His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, as well as the full support of the Bahraini people.

The National Day Festival at the Heritage Village continues until December 20 from 4:00 to 10:00 pm every day.
