Information Minister expresses pride in Bahrain’s press, media experience

Manama, May 6 (BNA) Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Muhammad Al-Rumaihi affirmed the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. In a statement on the occasion of Bahrain Press Day, which falls on May 7 of each year, Al-Rumaihi expressed his deep thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty the King for promoting freedom of the press and the media, based on the royal interest in freedom of expression, which is guaranteed by the constitution.

The minister also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the government, under the leadership of His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, for setting all the requirements of the press and media institutions in the Kingdom to freely exercise their national role, praising His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister. The minister’s interest in emphasizing the role of the press and media in increasing the Kingdom’s achievements in development and the democratic process.

Al-Rumaihi said that the celebration of Bahrain Press Day this year is in the midst of the Kingdom’s continuous recovery from the repercussions of the emerging coronavirus pandemic at all levels, thanks to the successful efforts of the Bahrain team led by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He pointed out that the occasion is an opportunity to recall the national and honorable role played by Bahraini press and media institutions on the front lines of combating the epidemic.

At the conclusion of his statement, the minister extended his sincere congratulations to the press and media community in the Kingdom on this occasion, praising their role in enriching Bahrain’s press and media experience, as well as contributing to its development process.
