Information Minister conveys greetings from HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to Egyptian President

Cairo, September 21 (BNA) Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received at the Federal Palace the Arab information ministers on the sidelines of the 52nd session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers.

President El-Sisi stressed the media’s strategic role in supporting countries’ efforts to achieve stability and development by raising national issues and enhancing people’s awareness.

The Egyptian leader referred to the challenges facing the Arab world, stressing the need for the Arab media to deal with issues in depth and objectivity backed by facts.

With regard to combating extremist ideology, hate speech and incitement against Arab peoples, he said that the message of religion is construction, peace and development, stressing the importance of providing security, political and moral stability.

For his part, Minister of Information Affairs, Dr. Ramadan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, conveyed to President Sisi the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and wishes of the Arab Republic. More progress and prosperity for Egypt.

He stressed the importance of the meeting with President Sisi in raising many issues related to media work, which reflects the Egyptian leader’s keenness to develop this important sector and promote joint Arab media work on various media platforms.

Dr. Al-Naimi praised the ideas presented by the Egyptian President, which contribute to the consolidation of national culture and Arab national identity in various media platforms.
