Industry and Commerce Minister attends GCC entrepreneurship forum

Riyadh, October 18 (BNA) Minister of Industry and Trade Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani participated in the launch of the Gulf Entrepreneurs Forum and consultative meetings between the ministers of industry and trade in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and a wide range of business leaders in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The minister stressed that this participation reflects the importance of joint work to support entrepreneurship in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries by developing cooperation mechanisms and spreading awareness of Gulf procedures and laws, in addition to promoting joint Gulf action in the small and medium-sized companies sector.

The forum aims to create a suitable environment for entrepreneurship through workshops and sessions, as well as discuss various aspects related to the Gulf entrepreneurship system, and the most important challenges and recommendations to enhance the entrepreneurship environment.

It included a brainstorming session and many discussions that focused on the factors enabling the entrepreneurial environment in the GCC countries, the impact of entrepreneurship and innovation on food and environmental security, and the opportunities and challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the GCC.
