India beat Bangladesh by three wickets to win series 2-0

Dhaka, Dec 25 (BNA): India beat Bangladesh by three wickets in the low-scoring second Test to complete a series 2-0 sweep in Mirpur.


Reuters reports that India, chasing 145 for victory on a bend course, overcame a bat collapse to hit the target in the first session on the penultimate day at the Sher Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.


Ravichandran Ashwin top-scored for India with an unbeaten 42, while off-spinner Mahdi Hassan (5-63) singled out the Bengali bowlers.


Bangladesh had prevailed 2-1 in the one-day international series between the two neighbours.
