As the income auditor, you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all financial reports in order to ensure proper authorization in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

What will you do:
– Calculate, classify and record digital data to maintain complete financial records. Perform any combination of routine accounting, posting, and verification tasks to obtain preliminary financial statements for use in maintaining accounting records.
– Verify the accuracy of numbers, accounts and postings related to recorded business transactions
Record, store, access and analyze computerized financial information.
Monitor and secure cash and cash equivalents for properties in accordance with the cash handling policy and procedures.
Organize, secure and retain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures.
Preparing, maintaining and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing and payroll reports and tables.
Review the anger variance report to ensure the correct rate is applied
Examination of Paid Coupons, Allowance Bonds, Correction Bonds and approved by the authorized person, discrepancies in any of them are justified.
Review increases and decreases in cashiers, take appropriate actions, review foreign exchange rates at the front office when required, etc.
Qualifications and experience
You must have at least 1 year previous experience within a hotel environment in accounting, excellent communication skills in English orally and in writing and computer literacy is a must, while knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM and SUN is an asset.
