Manama, March 25 (BNA): The name of the “Educational District” in Isa Town was changed to “Shabab Al Bahrain Street”.
This step comes in the wake of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to name a street after Bahraini youth.
The renaming ceremony was attended by Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Issam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayad and officials from the two ministries.
On this occasion, the Minister of Works said that His Majesty’s directives to name a road in the name of Bahraini youth confirm the royal appreciation for the contributions of Bahraini youth in serving their country and their fruitful efforts to participate in building a prosperous future for the Kingdom at all levels.
The Minister of Youth expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for his directives, which confirm the distinguished position enjoyed by Bahraini youth in the mindset of His Majesty the King, and the royal keenness to appreciate their role and achievements.
The minister indicated that the name of the educational district was changed to “Bahraini Youth Street” because it contained many schools, universities and educational institutions.
