Abu Dhabi, May 14 (BNA) The Viceroy, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, arrived today in the United Arab Emirates, to offer his condolences to the President of the State and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, following the death of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Highness also expressed his condolences to the senior members of the royal Al Nahyan family, indicating that his thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.
His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad also wished the United Arab Emirates continued progress and prosperity under the leadership of its President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Highness recalled the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in promoting Arab and Islamic cooperation, and his active role as a statesman in advancing the overall development of the UAE. His Highness the Deputy King also referred to the commitment of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to strengthening the partnership between Bahrain and the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness, the Viceroy and the accompanying delegation for their heartfelt condolences and sympathy.
His Highness the Viceroy was accompanied by a number of senior officials.
