Manama, April 27 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister today issued Resolution (27) for the year 2022 to restructure the National Committee for Standardization and Metrology.
The Committee is chaired by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, and consists of the following members:
1- Director of Tests and Measurements Department at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.
2- Director of the Customs Clearance Department at the Customs Affairs at the Ministry of Interior.
3- Director of the Control and Licensing Department at the Ministry of Oil.
4- Director of the Electricity and Water Rationalization Department at the Electricity and Water Authority.
5- Director of the Materials Engineering Department at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.
6- Director of the Public Health Directorate at the Ministry of Health.
7- Eng. Lama Abbas Al-Mahroos – an experienced and efficient member.
8- Dalal Fouad Al Baharna – an experienced and efficient member.
9- Sonia Muhammad Janahi – representative of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
10- Nawaf Khaled Al-Zayani – representative of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
11- Ahmed Sabah Al-Salloum – representative of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Members serve for four years.
The decision stipulated that the committee elect, in its first meeting, its vice-chairman, who would replace him in his absence.
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism shall implement this order, and it shall take effect immediately and be published in the Official Gazette.
