Manama, October 11 (BNA) Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, congratulated Dr. Sima Bahous on her appointment to the position of UN Under-Secretary. Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women. She wished her every success in assuming the responsibilities of this important international position.
In a congratulatory message sent on this occasion, HRH Princess Sabeeka expressed her happiness at choosing an Arab woman to lead international empowerment efforts. She described this as an indication of the high competence of Arab women, which qualifies them to contribute to decision-making and formulate policies to empower women.
