Manama, May 7 (BNA): The Hope Fund won the award for the best youth-supporting organization in Bahrain during the 36th GCC Ministers of Youth and Sports meeting, which was hosted by the Sultanate of Oman.

The fund has been recognized for its efforts in supporting and empowering Bahraini youth initiatives.

Fajr Saleh Al-Bajhaji, Director General of the Hope Fund, was honored during the meeting by Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al-Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court in the Sultanate, along with Tamkeen and a number of honorees from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The Hope Fund thanked His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, for his guidance and support that led to this achievement.

Hope Projects and Talents of Hope is the investment and talent arm of the Fund, headed by Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyed.

One of the initiatives supported by the fund is Beban, a reality TV show in which entrepreneurs present regional investors with spot investment offers and strategic business opportunities. The first and second seasons of the show generated a total of $6 million in investments.

Beban Crowdfunding, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain, is another initiative that provides a platform that connects promising entrepreneurs with investors who want to empower their businesses.

Hope Ventures is currently working to open the largest co-working space in Bahrain to support young entrepreneurs and startups.
