HM King’s directives to deliver urgent relief aid to quake-hit countries praised by Social Development Minister

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): Minister of Social Development Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf praised the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to deliver urgent relief aid to those affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, pointing out that His Majesty the King’s gesture confirms the noble humanitarian and civilized image of the Kingdom.

The minister praised the initiative to launch a campaign to donate funds to help those affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, under the supervision of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).

He announced the royal initiative, which enjoys great support from the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. Chairman of the Board of Directors His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Al-Asfoor affirmed the Ministry of Social Development’s keenness to implement the royal directives, indicating that it had directed licensed civil society organizations to contribute to the campaign through official accounts, in coordination with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, to support the Kingdom’s approach to mitigation. The suffering of those affected by natural disasters in the world, reflecting his moral commitment to all peoples.
