HM King receives Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs President

Manama, October 4 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today at Sakhir Palace Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, who presented to His Majesty the King the first edition of his book “The History of the Judiciary in Bahrain”.

The book documents the judicial process since the establishment of the modern state in Bahrain in 1873 during the era of the founder Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fateh until the second third of 2021 during the prosperous reign of King Hamad.

His Majesty the King issued his directives to expedite the resumption of prayer in mosques to a pre-pandemic level, while adhering to the health guidelines in place to enable worshipers to perform prayer easily.

His Majesty King Hamad expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of the Supreme Investment Council for his valuable book, praising the efforts made by the writer in compiling his book, which contains valuable information documenting the stages of development and achievements of the Bahraini judiciary.

His Majesty the King affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has enjoyed, for decades, a regular judiciary that has been able, through its integrity and independence, to contribute to the progress of the Kingdom in all fields, praising the organization and continuous development witnessed by the Bahraini judiciary. in its structure and legislation.

His Majesty King Hamad stressed that the judiciary in the Kingdom was able, during its successful course, to achieve justice and secure the rights of citizens and residents, in addition to promoting the principles of equality and preserving freedoms.

Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for his steadfast support to the Supreme Investment Council, noting that his book on the history of the Bahraini judiciary documents the present of the Bahraini judiciary in five chapters, and includes an important chapter. A vision about the political, economic, social and religious interactions, transformations and changes that have occurred in the Kingdom and their effects on the judicial, legal and legislative structure.

He hoped that his book would be a catalyst for researchers to pay more attention to objective documentation in various fields.
