Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today at Sakhir Palace, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Speaker of Parliament. Ahmed bin Salman Al-Muslim, Chairman of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Vice-President of the Supreme Judicial Council, President of the Court of Cassation Sheikh Khalid bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and President of the Constitutional Court Abdullah bin Hassan Al-Buainain. .
They extended to His Majesty the King hearty congratulations on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the National Action Charter, expressing their appreciation for His Majesty’s wise leadership, which yielded many qualitative achievements for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
His Majesty the King exchanged with them his best wishes on this occasion, thanking them for their good feelings. He praised the numerous achievements made by the legislative authority in developing laws, advancing the civilized and developmental march, and defending the higher interests of the nation. His Majesty the King also praised the key role of the judiciary in promoting justice, equality and protecting rights and freedoms. He referred to the cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities and the importance of further strengthening it to achieve more prosperity for the nation and citizens.
His Majesty the King recalled the honorable and patriotic position of the Bahraini people and their unprecedented unanimity to achieve goals and aspirations. He stressed that the National Action Charter will remain a roadmap for further strengthening democracy and development.
His Majesty the King expressed his determination to continue the development process, consolidate Bahrain’s position on the world map, and fulfill the citizens’ aspirations for further growth and prosperity. He praised the remarkable contributions of the Bahraini people and their essential role in strengthening the Kingdom’s pioneering role at all levels. He affirmed that Bahraini citizens will always remain the focus and goal of national development.
His Majesty the King renewed, once again, the full solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with Syria and Turkey to overcome the effects of the devastating earthquake that struck the two countries recently. He praised the humanitarian relief efforts of the search and rescue team of the Royal Guard in “Operation Relief Arms”, which is being carried out in the earthquake-affected areas in Turkey under the supervision of the National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard, Major General R. His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
His Majesty the King praised the honorable stance and positive response of citizens and residents to the national campaign organized by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation to help those affected in Syria and Turkey and alleviate their suffering. He emphasized the noble humanitarian role of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its firm approach to helping the needy and those affected by various disasters in brotherly and friendly countries.
