HM King deputises Personal Representative to attend ceremony marking HM King Charles II coronation

Manama, May 8 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Personal Representative, delegated His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to attend the ceremony hosted yesterday by the British Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Diplomat Hotel, on the occasion of the coronation of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa. King of the United Kingdom Charles III.

Upon his arrival, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa was received by the UK Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roddy Drummond, and a number of ministers, senior officials, ambassadors and embassy staff.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa conveyed the congratulations of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing His Majesty King Charles III health, wellness and happiness to lead the United Kingdom to achieve further development, progress and prosperity.

He praised the long-term strategic partnership and strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which extend for more than 200 years, in light of the directives of His Majesty the King to strengthen joint relations in all fields.

This was followed by the playing of the national hymns of the two countries, then the UK ambassador addressed the ceremony, expressing his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for sponsoring the ceremony held by the embassy in Bahrain, on the occasion of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
