Manama, March 18 (BNA): Under the auspices of His Highness the Crown Prince and Advisor to the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and in the presence of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Mosque of His Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Ali. Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, wife of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, in Riffa, Southern Governorate, inaugurated today.
To mark the occasion, the head of the Sunni Endowments Council, Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Fetais Al-Hajri, delivered a speech in which he praised the great care enjoyed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to places of worship due to the effective role of mosques in social growth and stability. He prayed to God Almighty to reward Sheikha Hessa bint Ali Al Khalifa for building the mosque.
It is worth noting that the mosque of Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Ali Al Khalifa was built according to traditional Bahraini architecture with a capacity of 850 worshipers. It also has another hall with a capacity of 150 worshipers, a house for the imam and the muezzin, public facilities, and a car park.
