Manama, May. 9 (BNA): The University of Bahrain (UoB) is hosting the fifth edition of the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum “MicroShabab”, organized by the Future Youth Association, from May 21 to 23.
The Forum is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled expressed his happiness at launching the fifth edition of the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum “Micro Youth”, which is considered one of the important youth forums that aim to develop youth ideas in the field of entrepreneurship, under the directives of His Highness. His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that the forum will contribute to supporting and empowering youth in the economic field, given that the sector represents a fundamental pillar in the comprehensive development process in the country under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Economic Vision 2030 led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid affirmed that the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum “Micro Youth” is an investment in youth in the development and building of society to be an effective element in the advancement of the country’s economy.
He stressed the importance of exchanging ideas, expertise and experiences in the field of entrepreneurship to promote a culture of creativity and innovation among young people.
Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, President of the University of Bahrain, said: “Bahrain enjoys a privileged position in terms of entrepreneurship, and this forum contributes to communicating the successful experience of Bahraini entrepreneurs to a wide segment of the youth community, and directs them on the right path, to start their entrepreneurial journey, and encourages them to adopt pioneering technology.” to reach the international level.
Al-Mudhahka thanked His Highness Sheikh Khaled for his support of the “Initiatives” office at the university, facilitating its work, and creating ways for the success of the entrepreneurial experience.
The “Micro Youth Forum” is one of the initiatives launched by the Future Youth Association in 2013. It aims to promote inspiration, innovation and spread the culture of entrepreneurship in line with the economic vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030.
