HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad hails Taekwondo champions’ achievements

Manama, February 12 (BNA) Bahraini Taekwondo fighters succeeded in achieving great results in the Fujairah International Championship for Teams and Clubs, organized by the Emirates Taekwondo Federation.

Abdullah Taha Al-Hadi from the Emperor Taekwondo Academy won the gold medal in the 61kg category, while his compatriot Nouf Hassan Mohammed from the Al-Dawy International Center for Sports and Martial Arts won the bronze medal during the two-day competition that concluded on February 8. Division medal 51 kg. Both achievements were achieved in the junior category.

On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, praised the achievements that confirm their results in the Arab Cup.

He said, “We are proud of the efforts of our heroes in the various tournaments, which reflect their high capabilities and their keenness to honor the Kingdom of Bahrain.”


For his part, His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority, praised the results, which are the fruit of the efforts and dedication of the champions.
