Manama, January 23 (BNA) The sixth edition of the annual Bahrain Sports Day will start on February 10-11.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, received in his office at Al Wadi Palace in Bahrain. The President of the Sports for All Federation, Issa Mohamed Abdel Rahim, directed preparations for the two-day annual national event.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Authority for Control and Accountability, and Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Authority of the Authority.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa directed coordination with all government agencies and institutions and urged all public and private sector employees to participate.
He stressed the importance of participating in Bahrain Sports Day while adhering to the mandatory precautionary measures and health protocols established by the National Medical Task Force to combat COVID-19 and its variants.
He assigned Issa Muhammad Abdul Rahim, president of the Bahrain Sports Federation for All, and directed preparations to lead the Supreme Organizing Committee, which includes representatives from sports bodies and the public and private sectors.
