HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman inaugurates the 29th Annual Bahrain Heritage Festival

Manama, April 5 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa inaugurated today, on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Fund. Bahrain’s 29th Annual Heritage Festival entitled “Ramadan Traditions” in Souk Al Baraha – Diyar Al Muharraq.

His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, and Bahrain’s status as an important world cultural heritage destination.

His Highness Sheikh Issa in Salman praised the unwavering support of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the culture and antiquities sector in the Kingdom.

His Highness expressed his happiness at the inauguration of the 29th Annual Bahrain Heritage Festival on behalf of His Majesty the King, adding that His Majesty’s continuous patronage enhances the Kingdom’s cultural heritage and highlights the importance of transmitting traditions to future generations.

In the context of his speech within the framework of this year’s slogan “Ramadan Traditions”, His Highness affirmed that the traditions followed in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the holy month of Ramadan center around the values ​​of unity, discipline, kindness and mercy.

For his part, the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, affirmed His Majesty the King’s continuous support for the cultural heritage sector in the Kingdom.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed also referred to the efforts of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in supporting the sector and contributing to the broader economic and social development of the Kingdom.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed concluded his speech by expressing his gratitude to His Highness Isa bin Salman for opening the event.

The twenty-ninth annual Bahrain Heritage Festival aims to highlight the traditions, identity, culture and Ramadan heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event includes a market selling various homemade products, through the “Made in Bahrain” initiative, with the support of the Anti-Corruption Authority.

A number of senior officials also attended the opening.
