Manama, June 1 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, received here today, in the presence of the Minister of Education, Dr. Majid. Ben Ali Al-Naimi, members of SCDET, Speaker of the Arab House of Representatives (AP) Adel Al-Asoumi, and participants in the conference launching the “Document for the Development of Education in the Arab World”.


Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak, the conference entitled “Bahrain is the gateway to the development of education in the Arab world”, organized by the Arab Parliament, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, with the participation of the Ministry of Education. Heads of Arab legislative councils and parliaments and representatives of relevant organizations.


His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak welcomed the participants in the conference, stressing the importance of the event. He praised the efforts of the president and members of the AP to adopt the “Document for the Development of Education in the Arab World” as a complete document covering the requirements of the educational process, stressing the importance of education in promoting the progress of nations. .


The AP President delivered a speech at the opening session of the conference, which began here today. He affirmed the AP’s interest in everything that aims to strengthen brotherly relations, cooperation and integration among Arab countries, especially in the field of education, given the pivotal role it plays in meeting the aspirations of the Arab peoples for further progress.


The Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, also delivered a speech before the conference. He reviewed the education process in the Kingdom, and highlighted the many achievements Bahrain has achieved thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince. Prince and Prime Minister.


Also speaking during the conference were Jordanian Parliament Speaker Abdul Karim Faisal Al-Daghmi and his counterparts from Arab legislative councils and parliaments. They expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom for hosting the conference, praising its successes and achievements in the field of education. They also highlighted the importance of the “document” in achieving the aspirations of Arab countries in establishing advanced educational systems that keep pace with the knowledge revolution and technological progress.


During the conference, a member of the Saudi Shura Council and head of the Women, Youth, Social, Educational and Cultural Affairs Committee in the Arab Parliament gave a presentation on the stages of preparing the “document”. It also reviewed the efforts made by the Arab Parliament, in cooperation with partners, to prepare it. They include the League of Arab States, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and the Arab Education Office. For Gulf Countries (ABEGS), the Association of Arab Universities and the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils.


At the end of the conference, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak received the “Document for the Development of Education in the Arab World” by the President of the Associated Press.


The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his thanks to the president and members of the Associated Press for their efforts to promote joint Arab action at all levels.
