Manama, Dec. 13 (BNA): Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, received Dr. Hassan bin Rafdan Al-Hajjouj, President of Kingdom University.
The Secretary-General stressed the importance of local universities obtaining international recognition, including Saudi recognition, and its importance in launching higher education institutions and promoting promising opportunities in the education sector to attract students from different countries.
She congratulated the university and all its affiliates on the Saudi appreciation, and praised the university’s performance and development in education and preparing students for the labor market.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Elections Committee said that the council is working for all local universities to obtain recognition by the GCC and global countries and to develop the higher education system in Bahrain.
Al-Hajjouj praised the council’s role in supporting the university and helping it achieve international accreditation for its academic programmes.
