Geneva, May 25 (BNA): Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, met with Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Mandhari, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, on the sidelines of the 76th conference.y World Health Assembly session held in Geneva.
The minister praised the role played by the regional office and the level of cooperation and joint coordination that contributed to achieving and highlighting many successes, achievements, priority health projects and programmes.
She stressed the importance of cooperation with the regional office in order to maintain the level of comprehensive health coverage, strengthen preventive plans and proactive response, and keep abreast of various developments related to epidemiological surveillance, chronic and infectious diseases, and limit their spread.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its pioneering model, which it presents at the regional and global levels, in line with the latest global developments in the field of health.
