Gulf Air announces launch of flights to Rome, Milan, Nice and Manchester in June


Manama, February 23 (BNA) Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, announced the addition of four new destinations to its global network with direct flights to two destinations in Italy, a new destination in France and another in the United Kingdom:


According to the announcement, Gulf Air will operate five weekly flights to Milan, two weekly flights to Rome and two weekly flights to Manchester from 1 June. Gulf Air will operate two weekly flights to Nice from June 2.

The airline’s new Airbus A321neo aircraft will serve flights to Milan, Rome and Nice, while Manchester will be serviced by the airline’s flagship Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.


In addition to the new destinations to be launched during the summer season, the airline will resume operations to Mykonos and Santorini in Greece, Malaga in Spain, Sharm El Sheikh and Alexandria in Egypt, and Salalah in Oman.


“The new routes to our network are testament to the continued expansion of the Gulf Air network by adding Milan, Rome, Manchester and Nice,” said Gulf Air’s acting CEO, Captain Waleed Al Alawi.


“These new destinations were on our horizon, and with travel back to normal, we knew it was the right time to launch our new routes to our passengers. Our network continues to add popular boutique destinations preferred by many tourists and families in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region especially as the demand for travel is growing in a healthy and accelerating manner towards summer vacation “.
