Government hospitals, BDS sign cooperation agreement

Manama, May 15 (BNA): Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Diabetes Association, signed a cooperation agreement between BDS and government hospitals.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ansari, CEO of government hospitals, and Dr. Maryam Al-Hajri, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Diabetes Association.

Dr. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation to government hospitals for their permanent cooperation with charitable associations and institutions, and for the support provided to children and youth with type 1 diabetes.

This agreement came to support initiatives aimed at reducing the risks and complications of diabetes and increasing awareness of prevention methods.

The Chairman of the Council confirmed that this agreement aims to strengthen the partnership between government and private agencies in the Kingdom.
