Our client is looking for a qualified and experienced Gas Operations Specialist to join their big project in Kuwait. This role is offered full time/residential placement.

Responsibilities:

The role of the Gas Operations Training Specialist is to operate as an SME and implement comprehensive improvements to Gas Operations Training in accordance with international best practices and standards.

A professional must support the Operations Technical Professional Development (OTPD) team and follow reasonable instructions and requests from line managers and supervisors.

Primary duties:
Review competency frameworks, competency profiles, training catalogs for exploration and production operations, and productive water treatment job packages
Comparison with other national and international oil companies
Recommend and implement updates, recognizing knowledge and application elements and international best practices
Reviewing learning options and learning tools associated with competency frameworks
– Rationalization of available delivery methods and learning addresses
Act as references in the Gap Analysis Discussion (GAD) process
OJT External Auditor and Internal Course Assessment
Technical QA/QC content of all international courses and annexes
Review and develop programs in development (UD) and under training (UT) for graduate engineers and newly hired diploma technicians
– Input into e-learning, ensuring competency, and new learning

Competencies/Knowledge:
Current knowledge of international best practices in gas operations training.
Should have a good level of English language ability, both spoken and written.
You must have at least 10 years of experience in oil, gas and gas exploration operations and must have in-depth knowledge of the following:
Extensive knowledge of onshore gas booster plant, turbines, compressors and consumer network operations
Must have proven experience in developing and implementing competency frameworks and learning systems/tools, ensuring training quality, reviewing programs and curricula, design and implementation

Work requirements:
Internationally recognized assessor and auditor qualifications (both desirable).
International qualification to train the trainer (desirable).
Possesses good IT skills, particularly Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Be able to work with different cultures, coach and mentor existing employees, and develop good working relationships. You must be culturally aware and sensitive.
Requires a flexible attitude to all work activities, willing to accept changes to training schedule, working anti-social hours if necessary.
He must be emotionally flexible, beginner and have a positive attitude.
– Willingness to travel within the client’s desert sites and assembly centers in Kuwait for work requirements
Operational experience as a technician and above in the oil and gas industry.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in related field and specialization with 10 years of experience working in major international oil and gas companies in an operational environment – Upstream.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and must follow all company and customer driving/health and safety policies and procedures.
All company and client health and safety policies and procedures must be adhered to.
