Foreign Ministry’s delegation meets UNRWA officials

Amman, May 4 (BNA): A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Jordan.

The delegation included the head of the Human Rights Affairs Department, Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hassan Al-Sayed, and the head of the Arab-African Affairs Department, Ahmed Ak Tarifi.

They held a meeting with UNRWA Director of External Relations (DER) Tamara Al-Rifai and Senior External Relations Specialist Rami Adwan and discussed the vital role UNRWA plays in supporting refugees and launching initiatives and projects.

The delegation reaffirmed Bahrain’s firm support for the Palestinian cause and the inalienable rights of Palestinian refugees on the basis of the Arab Peace Initiative and other international resolutions.
