Manama, May 11 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received today the Assistant Undersecretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations at the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al Khalifa. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the fifth meeting of the Policy Advisory Group of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
The two sides discussed the process of fraternal integration between the GCC countries and the efforts of the General Secretariat to enhance the strategic partnership and dialogue with brotherly and friendly countries. The prospects for political, security and defense partnership with NATO were also reviewed within the framework of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative to promote peace and security in the Arab Gulf region, the Middle East and the world.
