Manama, June 28 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, welcomes the visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah. Al-Sisi indicated that the visits would enhance the historical brotherly relations and the strong and growing strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the Bahraini-Egyptian summit opens wider horizons for enhancing bilateral cooperation and coordination in the political and economic fields, stressing the two countries’ firm positions towards regional and international issues, within the framework of their commitment to protecting Arab national security, rejecting foreign interference in Arab internal affairs, and supporting a just and comprehensive peace in the region, and consolidating the values of tolerance and coexistence among religions, cultures and civilizations.
He pointed to the government’s keenness, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to activate the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed with Egypt in various fields, in order to achieve the common interests of the state. Both countries and the two brotherly peoples are committed to activating trade, tourism, investment, protecting the environment and supporting the comprehensive and sustainable development process.
The minister affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for all the legitimate measures taken by Egypt to protect its security and stability and enhance its development process, stressing at the same time its pride in Egypt’s stances in support of its security, stability, security and Arab identity. The Gulf and its historical sacrifices in order to support just Arab and Islamic rights.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Bahraini-Egyptian relations, with the support of His Majesty the King and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, are heading towards a closer strategic alliance and constructive cooperation for the sake of the two brotherly peoples and the Secretary-General.
