Kiev, May 5 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani held official talks in Kiev with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, as part of his official visit to Ukraine.
Dr. Al-Zayani thanked the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs for his invitation to visit Ukraine, praising the friendly relations between the two countries and the growing cooperation in various fields, thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to end the war in Ukraine peacefully through direct negotiations to enhance security, stability and peace in the European continent and to facilitate supplies of food and energy to the whole world.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister praised Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani’s official visit to Ukraine, which reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s interest in strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He also stressed Ukraine’s keenness to enhance joint cooperation in various fields.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s appreciation for Bahrain’s position calling for an end to the war in Ukraine and the establishment of peace in the European continent. He also praised Bahrain’s keenness to support humanitarian work in Ukraine, wishing Bahrain continued growth and prosperity.
The two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and reviewed developments in Ukraine and efforts to stop the war and reach a peaceful solution to the conflict through diplomatic means. The two sides also discussed the latest regional developments and issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Germany, Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, the Director General of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Talal Abdul Salam Al-Ansari, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Bahrain, residing in Abu Dhabi, Dmytro Senek, and the accompanying delegation.
