Foreign Minister meets Minister for Asia, Middle East at UK’s FCDO

Manama, July 3 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani met today with the Minister of Asia and the Middle East in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom, Amanda Milling. who is currently visiting the Kingdom.

The minister praised the British minister’s efforts that contributed to the success of the 14th meeting of the Bahraini-British ministerial working group, which was held in London last month. He also expressed the Kingdom’s appreciation for the United Kingdom’s announcement of its intention to launch the new electronic travel permit system from the beginning of next year.

Dr. Al-Zayani praised the friendly cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the United Kingdom, noting the recent joint statement regarding the launch of negotiations for a free trade agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the United Kingdom, which reflects their mutual keenness to strengthen the strategic partnership in the two countries. In the interest of both parties.

The Minister of Asian and Middle Eastern Affairs in the United Kingdom praised the close relations between the two friendly countries and peoples, indicating their cooperation at various levels.

The two sides discussed the long-term relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, in addition to regional and international developments and issues of common interest.
