Foreign Minister holds talks with Israeli counterpart

Manama, September 30 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani held talks today with Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.

The meeting was held within the framework of the visit of the Israeli Foreign Minister to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed Mr. Yair Lapid on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to develop bilateral cooperation to achieve common interests within the framework of the Declaration of Support for Peace signed between the two countries. Countries.

In turn, the Israeli Foreign Minister expressed his happiness at visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the importance of joint work to strengthen relations between the two countries.

He also expressed the keenness of the State of Israel to develop bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed political and security developments in the region, regional challenges and issues of common interest at the regional and international levels.

The two sides agreed to prepare a joint action plan to determine the priorities of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and to follow up on what was agreed upon to advance bilateral relations and develop joint cooperation in a number of fields.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, HE Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Israel, and Khaled Yousef Al-Jalahma, Chargé d’Affairs at the Embassy of the State of Israel.
