Foreign Minister attends preparatory meeting of 32nd Arab Summit

Jeddah, May 17 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani participated today in the meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, ahead of the 32nd Arab Summit to be held in Saudi Arabia. Arabia, headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on May 19.

The ministerial meeting was chaired by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

The Arab foreign minister discussed the report of the presidency of the thirty-first session of the Arab summit on the activities of the committee to follow up the implementation of the decisions and commitments of the Arab summit.

The Secretary-General’s report on the march of joint Arab action and joint Arab economic and social action was also discussed, in addition to the topics on the agenda of the 32nd Arab Summit.

The ministers also discussed the latest regional political and security developments in the region, and their implications for Arab national security, as well as issues related to combating terrorism and regional interference in the internal affairs of states, in addition to issues related to ways to strengthen them. Cooperation in addressing climate change and cyber security.

The draft resolutions that will be presented to Arab leaders during the 32nd Arab Summit were also reviewed.
