Financial and Economic Affairs Committee holds consultative meeting with Sustainable Development Ministry’s representatives

Manama, May 4 (BNA): The Parliament’s Financial and Economic Affairs Committee held a consultative meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Sustainable Development, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy and the Bahrain Center. For strategic, international and energy studies (studies).

The consultative meeting comes in line with the Parliament’s interest in achieving a decent life for citizens, strengthening efforts to achieve sustainable development goals in a comprehensive manner that benefits all segments of society, and strengthening partnership and cooperation with the executive body to accelerate the growth rate. For the Bahraini economy, raising the standard of living for citizens, and providing the requirements of a decent life for all.

Over the past years, the House of Representatives has played a pivotal role in coordination with the government to achieve aspects of the sustainable development goals, whether through parliamentary powers to enact laws and legislation, or monitor the government’s executive apparatus, represent the interests of citizens, and express their needs and demands for development and modernization.

Parliament is one of the most important pillars of the reform project launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
